Having renewable energy is not only good for the environment, but essential in diversifying costs and providing energy reliability. Right across the road from the Apache Power Plant, solar, coal, and natural gas work together to balance energy costs and needs at different times of the day. Having both in the same location also allows current AZGT employees to be close by for maintenance and upgrades.
